Who is Kevin De Bruyne's wife?

Michèle Lacroix is the wife of Napoli's Kevin De Bruyne. Reportedly born in Genk, Belgium, she has more than 570,000 Instagram followers and co-hosted the Dutch-language podcast Secret Society with childhood friends, interviewing Belgian and Dutch women, though it has been inactive for over three years.

The pair met through Twitter around 2013. After she favourited one of his tweets, a friend of his messaged her on his behalf, and they texted for months before meeting. She was reportedly a student and occasional Racing Genk hostess at the time, and is said to have left her studies after the 2014 World Cup to move with him.

De Bruyne proposed in Paris in December 2016, and they married in Sorrento, Italy, in June 2017. They have three children: two sons and a daughter.

When De Bruyne said goodbye to Manchester City on 20 May 2025, she walked onto the pitch with their three children, posting "Forever home". She was seen house-hunting in Naples before his move there was finalised, and reportedly travelled with the children to the 2026 World Cup. In a September 2026 interview she said the move had been hard on the children but the family had adapted to Italian life, and that they increasingly think about settling back in Limburg, where both grew up.
